Mifflin's Salt Water Taffy was started back in 1969 by a single mother and her two sons, ages 12 and 5. What was she thinking! The original store was located in the Balboa Fun Zone, and served sno-cones, cotton candy, popcorn, licorice, fudge, and caramel corn, as well as salt water taffy. Every summer was spent by all three at the beach working in the store. For 6 years the family also managed the hamburger stand next door.

The Mom, Bobbie Mifflin passed away in October, 2006. We will miss her!

We are currently looking to open a new store in the Los Angeles area, but the Bike shop and the Pharmacy in Balboa will carry our taffy.
